MemWall AS ("MemWall", "we", "us") takes privacy very seriously. This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect, why we do it, how it is processed, and what rights you have.

MemWall is a platform for digital memory walls, legal documents, and personal messages for the future.

2. What information we collect

We only collect information necessary to provide our services.

2.1 Information you provide us

• Name
• Email address
• User account information
• Content you upload yourself (text, images, video, audio, documents)
• Information about executors and recipients (name, email)

2.2 Automatically collected information

• IP address
• Device type and browser
• Usage patterns in the service (improvement and security)

3. Purpose of processing

We process personal data to:

• Deliver and operate MemWall services
• Ensure correct activation of memory walls, documents, and memory capsules
• Fulfill legal obligations
• Improve user experience
• Maintain security and prevent misuse

5. Storage and security

All data is stored encrypted and processed in accordance with GDPR. Sensitive documents and private memory walls are protected with access controls and are activated only according to the user's choice.

9. Mobile applications

MemWall is available as a mobile app for iOS and Android. In addition to the data described above, the apps may collect:

• Photos and videos via the device camera (only when you actively use the feature)
• Access to the photo library for uploading images
• Location data (only if you choose to tag memories with a location)
• Push notification tokens for delivering reminders and updates
• Device identifier for secure login and session management

All mobile data collection requires your explicit consent through the operating system's permission dialogs.

10. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate MemWall:

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication (data stored in the EU)
• Cloudflare — content delivery and video streaming
• Stripe — payment processing (we never store your card details)
• Google Fonts — typography (no personal data is transferred)
• Resend — transactional emails (e.g. password reset, notifications)

All third-party services are GDPR compliant and process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

11. Cookies and local storage

MemWall uses the following types of cookies and local storage:

• Essential cookies — required for login and session management
• Preference storage — your language choice and display settings
• We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent some features from working.

12. Children's privacy
